Xavier was born on January 22, 1985 in Kingston, Jamaica. Music has been his passion ever since. At eight months (as told by his mom), before he could walk, he was on “all four” and moving his head to music playing on the radio or television. In his early teens, while attending Wolmer’s Boys’ School, Xavier and four of his classmates formed a group after discovering that they were talented with writing lyrics for songs. He soon realized that for the group to expand and record their own material, background music would be needed. This is when Xavier began producing and arranging music from his computer to accompany the group. Xavier’s mom recognized his talent and passion for music so immediately after he finished high school, she sent him to take lessons in sound engineering for a year.
In July 2002, Xavier moved to Toronto where he continued to pursue his passion. While studying Computer Systems Technology full-time and working part-time, he saved enough money to buy more sophisticated music equipment for his studio. From his small start in Jamaica with just a computer, he now uses several types of music equipment such as Akai MPC, Roland Phantom and Protools DAW with multiple plugins. His compositions range from Reggae, R&B, Hip-Hop to Pop music and has provided tracks to various upcoming artists including Poet Owen Mitchell.
Xavier has been inspired by artists such as Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes and producers Quincy Jones, Sly & Robbie and Timbaland to name a few.
Xavier is a Microsoft Certified Support Engineer (MCSE) and holds a diploma in Computer Systems Technology from Seneca College in Toronto. He currently works as a Network Support Engineer for VMC - Microsoft Partner Company based in Canada. His greatest ambition is to develop his career as a producer and to work every day in his studio making quality music.
